business tips for 2009

This is the fourth in a series of business tips on how you own a private company can practice the challenges facing business and unlock growth this year.

Several who came to me because you are stressed, frustrated, tired, listening, and overwhelmed:

  • Your objectives for growth and expansion somehow never materialized.
  • Your computer does not understand what you do with your business.
  • He has fallen into the driver's seat, and push your business.
  • His "to do" the list has become a book!

Here's the good news: This is not you. It's their system, or lack of systems.

W. Edwards Deming, said 97% of all failures can be attributed to the systems, not the person.

You always hear about the value of applying systems in his clinic to get out of overwhelm and help you focus your efforts where they should, as the owner of the practice. You know you should, but for some …………….. by establishing systems which always moves to the background because it feels too difficult.

So how can endure adequate systems painlessly? In simple terms, all you need do is to develop processes that are written descriptions of how they want to do things in his clinic.

Start with the area that is most annoying to you now. This could be an area that requires your attention on several occasions, because nobody More on your clinic knows how to do this might be an area you know you should not spend his time in the CEO of your company, but again, nobody knows what is at this point.

Systematize your business also means that they spend significantly over some tasks you should not do, given the value of his time to his owner and the leader of your company. The very word "delegate" – Yes, it is necessary to delegate everything you can too can carry out its business. I use the term "significant" delegates by which I mean that you must ensure that what is clearly described in writing along with specific performance expectations accompanying this description. Make sure you have a report "back" pending, so that you can control how it goes.

Remember that when you do not systematize your business, you are …..

  • Hours of work 10 to 30 or more per week than you should;
  • mistake opportunities to generate revenue – loss of customers;
  • wasting time to create new services, references and sources of income;
  • stress and anxiety;
  • and stuck in a job

Take the first step today: Identify and describe a business process, you document next week.
